BIG NEWS: Josh’s New “IDENTITY” Program
As I explained the other day, the most critical issue teens and young humans are facing right now, in your homes, on your watch is the issue of IDENTITY. For teens, figuring out who they are, why they matter, and where they fit in the world is the BIG INNER QUESTION that drives every other outward action. For this reason, the whole issue of identity really lies at the core of nearly every problem typically associated with adolescence and the teenage years--problems like defiance or acting out or other forms of rebellion or risky, attention-seeking behavior. If you haven't addressed identity, you'll never "fix" anything else.
So, how do you help teens discover a sense of self that will guide them through the rest of their lives? I've spent the better part of a year working on what I think is the most comprehensive solution you'll ever find. Without further ado:

So, here's your homework: go to your calendar and mark October 21, 2009 as the day we're going to make my "IDENTITY" program (a.k.a Hey Josh: "How do I deal with being labeled?") available. We'll be opening the doors at exactly 3 p.m. EST (Noon Pacific). This program is literally the result of ten years of experience engaging with over a million teenagers and--I promise you--there's nothing else like it on the market. I'm not going to lie, these were really expensive to make, so I only had a limited number of copies made, so when they're gone, they're gone.
By the way, KEEP CHECKING YOUR EMAIL!!

P.S. If you're NOT on my mailing list yet, you're at a serious disadvantage right now for two reasons: 1) You haven't seen or read or benefited from any of the exclusive content I've been GIVING AWAY for the last couple months; and 2) My mailing list is going to be the first to hear about all the cool stuff that's going down between now and October 21, some of which is time sensitive, and some of which involves winning valuable free product. And CASH. Just sayin', you might want to drop you name and address in the blue "Free Stuff" box on the right. **MAKE SURE TO CLICK THE LINK IN THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL AFTER YOU SIGN UP.** (If you don't see a blue "Free Stuff" box, it's cool; you're already in). If you have any problems, contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
CONTEST WINNERS! (And what to do if you didn't win)
The "Identity" pre-launch contest is over, and 5 lucky people made off with a FREE copy of this product (and one of them scored a $500 scholarship)! Click here for details. Now, if you DIDN'T win, don't cry: you still have a chance to make out like a bandit if you order this program within 24 to 48 hours of launch. Here's what's up for grabs:
Be one of the first 100 people to place an order and receive a limited release “Factory” DVD
This is an entirely new film that I’ve produced slated for full release sometime in the future to help teens get their passions into focus and discover how they can use their natural abilities to help guide their search for careers and entrepreneurship. This is a film I really wish I had when I was a teen.
Order in the first 48 hours and you could win 1 (of 2) $1,000 scholarships!
Yes, if you decide to take immediate action, there’s a chance you’ll be getting a 1031% return on your investment! ONLY those who purchase the program in the first 48 hours will be registered to win a $1000 scholarship that can be used for any educational activity or cause. Can be used on behalf of an individual teen or a group of teens that you want to help. Be a “HeyJosh” philanthropist!
Order in the first 24 hours and you could win a phone call with me…or an entire “Day with Josh”!
If you REALLY jump in there early, you could win “me”: either 1 (of 5) 30 minute personal phone calls with me (I’ll talk to you, your teen, or both about ANYTHING you want); OR a chance at an entire “Day with Josh”! I will travel to your home, speak at your teen’s school, and then hang out with your teen or group of teens.
So…
Don’t be sad. Don’t miss out. Check back on Wednesday…get the solution…and collect your prize.

Hello Josh,
Does your program include the need for God in their lives? I love your stuff and know that you have to walk a fine line between Church and State in your business, but never the less, it is the most important building block on which to add all other character traits. Looking forward to seeing the stuff.
I need Godly information..this is for a youth group at my church and I need some Godly wisdom. Im not only dealing with children, but im dealing with parents who hate for another adult to tell there children how there behaving or what they need to improve on. So PLEEEASE help me with the rebelious aldults as well as the children. Oh yeah i love your stuff its awsome
Thank you
I love your ministry…so thanks! I am assuming the center of the program is that we find our true identity in Christ?! I am really hoping it’s not too expensive for the average household to purchase, otherwise I might see if our Church would be interested in doing this for our Youth Group. We have about 30-40 kids in our group. I hope it will work for groups as well as individual use?! Looking forward to checking it out! God Bless!
From my experience, you don’t need to mention God in order for young people to associate the concept of identity with their faith life. Universal truths are universal truths, and they apply to both the secular and spiritual worlds. They recognize the truth for what it is and apply it to their lives in their individual ways.
The program I work with has used somewhat of an “identity-based” concept, and while the vast majority of the kids I work with have strong faith lives (from a multitude of denominations), I have known a few who are agnostic and even a few who profess to be atheists. I am a strong believer in spiritual identity, but I think that the destination is more important than the path taken to get there, because that is probably going to change from person to person, and over time.
I’m sure that whatever Josh comes out with could be easily modified for use in church-based youth groups, and Biblical references can be easily found to supplement the concepts.
I am so so pleased with the information that you give to us….you are so fun to watch. I am a Christian and I so hope that there will be the Lord mentioned in these. I see others show that they wish there will be and some say it does not matter. I realize that you want to reach all people and some may not wish to learn if that is what it is…the thing is that the Lord is the base for all things and reasoning.. thanks so much Josh…you are so so so fun. I pray that the Lord will bless your work. Can not wait to get to the computer every day to see what is next!!!!!!
I think the identity piece is what I’ve been missing. Does Josh in the box work with 18 year old bipolar disorder teens? I also have a 14 year old who does not have the disorder but is not performing at his potential @ school. Also has bulling issues (he get bullied) this has been a huge problem for both kids.
I work with “emotional disorders” with elementary aged youth. I think much of what I hear you say applies to this troubled population, kids who teachers try to keep out of their classrooms, because of their tendency to disrupt the learning. I’m a special education teacher, exploring the application of VIDEO FEEDBACK to help them self-monitor. Any suggestions or resources for this? It is difficult to find research that’s been done using video monitoring and teaching self-monitoring skills with video playback.
Thanks
You are such a blessing to us Josh and the thing is that the Lord had a plan for you and now we are so very grateful to have been blessed with you! Thanks so much for all the hours and time you have put in with the videos and work, work, work. This is NOT too much!!!!! This is so what is needed. Thanks you my dear friend!!! This SHOULD be a daily concentration…..THANKS

Are there any changes in the rules for step-parents? I don’t want to take the place of the mother and I don’t want her to feel like I am. But that makes it really hard sometimes. I’m supposed to act like the mom cause the 14 year old lives with her dad and me, but I’m not supposed to BE the mom cause there is a mom.
Hi Josh,
Excited to find this website. Will check in on October 21st next week. Interesting feedback.
I love this website. I can’t believe I just stumbled on it. I have a teen and a soon to be teen. I feel like I’m going to be armed to handle most situations that may come my way.
Hi Josh! I ordered the package just a few minutes after it went live and am very excited about it. My family is launching a business called Raising Biz Kids and I would love to connect more with you and your work as a means of supporting other families who have young entrepreneurs!
Thanks so much!

Josh, I’m a coach and have a pre-teen so I find your stuff very fun. My daughter doesn’t want to hear it from me but I think she’ll listen to you—isn’t that the way it goes all the time, eh? I’d like to invite you over as a guest on my site, http://www.doityourselflifecoach.com and would like it if I could share some material on your site.
Thanks for a fun site and I love the layout,
