DEAR TEEN (Letter Template)
Let's be honest: Having a conversation with a teen can be tough sometimes.
Challenging.
Down right frustrating.
I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU...
I've done the work for you and created a fill-in-the-blank
letter for you to have an OPEN CONVERSATION WITH YOUR TEEN.
Good luck!
Josh
P.S. I'd love to hear your comments about how you use this letter.

Thanks, Josh. It’s good to have a younger brain and viewpoint helping us gray-heads.
Love you,
Susan
when will you update the teens page? it’s been a couple of months now. Thanks!
I tulry feel this letter will be extremely helpful in trying to communicate with my daughter “from another planet!” (Oh wait, she says that’s me).
Thank you!
Excellent! And thanks so much for sharing! I can use this for my nieces and nephews as well. Very much appreciated! Ivy
thank you Josh for this example and i cant wait to use this to help me express to my daughter how I feel about her and hopefully open the door to communication.
will let you know how it works out . lorraine
I’ve always gotten a lot out of your website, etc. I plan to use this letter with a parent group I’m addressing soon. However, just a comment, on the suggestion you placed in the parenthesis under “...but I think that you are____”. I would replace the word “attractive”. I feel it’s not appropriate especially for girls. You get it, I’m sure. Thanks for all that you do. I think you are great!
Hi Josh thanks for this letter template, I am busy working on something to help parents to communicate with their teens I this is a good example.

Really love this template letter idea. It can be hard to have these conversations no matter who you are. I think the biggest thing is putting in the effort.
Dear Josh,
Thanks for this letter template. I used to write my teenage daughters regularly using an interactive journal. Things were a little better then. Communication is minimal nowadays. I definitely will start the practice again and I’m starting with this letter. I appreciate all your great ideas.
